Air Conditioner Filters
When it comes to A/C maintenance, the first thing to check is the filter. Dirty filters block airflow and reduce your
system’s energy efficiency, causing a spike in utility bills. Some types of filters are reusable; others must be
replaced.
Air Conditioner Coils
An evaporator coil is the part of an A/C system that absorbs heat. When it gets dirty, it can’t do its job. Outdoor
condenser coils can also accumulate dirt and grime, reducing airflow. Both coil types need to be kept clean to perform
as intended and reach peak energy efficiency.
Air Conditioner Fins
The interior and exterior fins on your A/C unit have different functions, but essentially, they keep your air
conditioner protected from debris and help control airflow. If A/C fins are dirty or clogged, you’ll notice warmer air
coming through your vents, which means your system uses more energy and doesn’t sufficiently cool your home.
